Andy Cohen





Andy Cohen digs the ocean, the color yellow, disco balls, the B-52's, funny girls, and TV. He is a gemini living in NYC.

Andy is also Bravo's SVP of Original Programming and Development, responsible for overseeing the network's current development and production slate, including hit shows like Top Chef, The Real Housewives of OC/NYC/ATL, The Rachel Zoe Project, Make Me a Supermodel, The Fashion Show, Shear Genius, Tabatha's Salon Takeover, The Millionaire Matchmaker, Million Dollar Listing, and Flipping Out.

In addition, Cohen writes "Andy's Blog," a daily blog at BravoTV.com about pop culture, television, media, and his daily life, and hosts Watch What Happens, BravoTV.com's first live-streaming online program. On the show, Cohen takes calls, emails and texts from viewers across the country with questions for live guests like Sandra Bernhard, Diane von Furstenberg, Sean Avery, Tim Gunn, and Bravolebrities and tastemakers. The show was spun off from Bravotv.com onto the Network itself where Cohen hosts Watch What Happens Reunion shows featuring the stars of The Real Housewives, Top Chef, Flipping Out, and more.

Since starting at Bravo in 2005, he oversaw an aggressive slate of unscripted series and specials including Project Runway, Queer Eye, Being Bobby Brown, Work Out, Tim Gunn's Guide to Style, Celebrity Poker Showdown, Showdog Moms and Dads, and Battle of the Network Reality Stars.

Previous to his current position, Cohen was Vice President of Original Programming for TRIO (pop, culture, tv), beginning in July 2000. He was responsible for developing and supervising all of TRIO's original productions including the critically acclaimed original documentaries Gay Republicans, Easy Riders/Raging Bulls, Brilliant, But Cancelled, and the critically-lauded original series Pilot Season, 24w/ and Parking Lot.

In 2005, Cohen was awarded a Peabody Award for his role as Executive Producer of the TRIO documentary The N Word and another in 2008 as an Executive Producer of Project Runway. He has been nominated for seven Emmy Awards as Executive Producer of Project Greenlight, Project Runway, Top Chef and Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. OUT Magazine named Cohen "hottest blogger of 2006" in their annual "hot" issue and in '07, Cohen was named one of MULTICHANNEL NEWS' "40 Under 40" innovative and formative executives at work today.

Prior to working for NBC Universal, Cohen was Senior Producer for CBS News' The Early Show where he oversaw the production of entertainment segments. Previously, Cohen was a producer for CBS News' 48 Hours and for CBS This Morning where he covered breaking news (Oklahoma City bombing, Hurricane Andrew, California Wildfires, Crash of TWA Flight 800) and produced live segments and celebrity profiles.

Born in St. Louis, Mr. Cohen is a graduate of Boston University where he received his BA degree in broadcast journalism.

Bravo is expanding into the weekly topical arena with Watch What Happens: Live, an interactive series hosted by Bravo programming executive Andy Cohen, set to premiere on Thursday, July 16 at midnight ET/PT.

Cohen, Bravo's Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development, is best known to viewers as the host of the network's often explosive Watch What Happens reunion specials, including the two-part reunion for The Real Housewives of New Jersey. "Watch What Happens" originally debuted as a live online show on www.Bravotv.com, with a number of guests over the years including Diane von Furstenberg, Sandra Bernhard, Sean Avery, and a host of eliminated contestants and Bravo personalities, as well as call-ins from Kelly Ripa, Ellen Barkin, Ricki Lake, to name a few.

On Watch What Happens: Live, every Thursday at midnight, Cohen will sit down with guests from some of Bravo's most popular series, as well as from the world of entertainment, to chat about what has transpired on-air and in pop culture that week for a live half-hour full of viewer interaction. The series will include lively debates and passionate discussions about everything from fashion, to the latest Housewives drama, to what celebrity news is making headlines that week.

Bravo viewers will finally have a chance to get up-close and personal not only with Cohen and his guests, but also with their favorite Bravo-lebrities and contestants, by interacting via email, phone, video, Twitter and Facebook. Episode 1

Watch What Happens: Live, hosted by Bravo's Andy Cohen, premieres this Thursday, July 16 at midnight ET/PT with The Real Housewives of New Jersey's controversial Danielle Staub among its first guests. This new interactive series will feature a weekly take on pop culture showcasing guests from Bravo's most popular shows and the world of entertainment, and discussions on topics ranging from fashion to the hottest celebrity news of the week. Watch what happens this week as Cohen asks Staub all the questions he didn't get to ask during the reunion special.
